Fun Summer of Rum Races

GBCA members and guests are enjoying a fun summer of Rum Races. We have an average of 70 boats out sailing on the scheduled Saturday afternoons.

If you’re not already a member, consider joining us for lots of fun racing and parties afterward at the Clubhouse. Our newest members are Bryan Bywalec, DarrenHendrickson, Calvin Holt, Blaint Holt, Ned Jerabek, NishantKrishnan, Tim Leyden, John Mastroianni, Don Mauer, LauraMidulla, Jose Santin, Steve Hand, Steve Rhyne and Jim Rich. Welcome to GBCA!

Our August schedule is a full one.

Rum Race #6 will be August 12, Rum Race #7 is on August 26, and in between those two, Rum Race #7 is on August 26, and in between those two, we will have our popular Single Handed Regatta on August 19, followed by the Mixed Doubles Regatta on the August 20th . We hope to see lots of you on the water, enjoying the races. At the time of this writing, we are counting down a few more days till TexasRace Week.

The parties we have planned after each day of racing will be epic!

Thursday night, July 13 – Saturday night, July 15 will be full of activities on Galveston Island.
