Fun Summer of Rum Races
GBCA members and guests are enjoying a fun summer of Rum Races. We have an average of 70 boats out sailing on the scheduled Saturday afternoons.

Seabrook Marina has Boat Slips available for the weekend and some right on the Clear Lake Channel for VIP viewing of all the boats roaring past.

GBCA has already had a busy winter and spring, and the races continue. We held our popular Performance Cup Regatta March 18-19. We are happy to announce the first through third place finishers in each class.
In the J/22 Class -
First Place was Terry Flynn on Tejas
2nd place went to Tom Meeh on MeehemC
3rd place was Doug Weakly on HNL
In J/24’s,
First went to Michael Marshall on USA 5208
2nd place was Carter White on Sea Bags Sailing Team
3rd was Natalie Penner on Giggles.
In the J/105 Class
First place was Robert Brann on Radiance
2nd place went to John Barnett on Vici
Uzi Ozeri on Infinity was 3rd
For the Pulse 600 class
Farley Fontenot took first place on Eleanor
Martin Hamilton came in 2nd on M-Pulse
3rd place went to Jesse Fulmer on Thinga-Ma-Jigger
Finally, in Distance PHRF Spin class
Pedro Gianotti was first on Pingo
Terri Gale was 2nd on Honey Badger
and Robin Race placed 3rd on Restless
Congratulations to the winners and all the sailors who sailed and enjoyed the party Saturday night at Cabo.
April 22 was the day for our J Kevin Box Conundrum Regatta. Results will be announced soon.
EVENTS COMING UP
We are also looking forward to the start of the Cruzan Rum Race Series, beginning June 3 and going all the way to September 9.
Be sure and join us for these fun, relaxing sailboat races and also for the awards and parties after each at the GBCA Clubhouse.
Also, be making your plans to sail in the Texas Race Week event, happening July 13-15 in Galveston. We will be furnishing details very soon, so you can make your plans to sail and/or party with us at the beautiful Elissa in the Harbor.
